Please bear in mind that this is just the first version so it may change, but I want the themes to be the focal point of the design and with this tab style banner I think it achieves it nicely. I also really like the simple looking logo.

bloggin’, formally blogWP

My first theme for the site will be called bloggin’, I’ve sort of introduced it on my other blog, Help Developer, but bloggin’ is essentially a blog theme but is packed full of great features and a massive page of options which allows you to change loads of stuff including the font, adverts, what social bookmarking links you want on your blog etc.

I’m intending on releasing it on January 5th 2009 so lookout for updates in the interim.

Hello and welcome to simnorWP, okay thats the first bit of the title done.

So what is it about?

simnorWP is where you can find premium wordpress themes produced by me, freelance web designer Simon North. I specialize in Wordpress so you can be guaranteed that these themes are coded to the highest quality and with the user in mind.

I believe that premium means that it outclasses free themes, that expert support is available to help you and that the themes work out of the box without the need for plugins. What you see in the demo’s is what you will get when you install it on your blog (obviously you’ll need to add your own content :))

So, what are the advantages of choosing to use one of my themes over everybody else’s, well here are a few:

• As mentioned above, I don’t use plugins to provide the themes functionality so you can be assured that it will work “out of the box”
• Expert support and documentation to make sure that you get it set up and can use it with ease
• More control over the theme design through options pages, you can even set things like the font!
• Quality tested in all A class browsers including Internet Explorer 6
• Use of non-intrusive JavaScript for effects (this will not affect the functionality of the site if JS is turned off)
• Top quality design with content in mind
• A choice of colours and textures which you can control
• and much more

So when can I get them, I can’t see the site???

OK it’s not quite ready yet but it will be soon. I’ve set up this blog so that you can see progress and keep up to date with what I’m working on.

So what’s coming

Well I have two major themes in the works, a blog theme and a portfolio theme both of which are at the coding stage.

Prices!! How much is this going to set me back?

Themes will be around $60/each for a single license and $150 for a developers license. There will also be club membership which will be priced at $50/month or $100/3 months.

So who’s Simon North?

I am a freelance web designer and developer based in West Yorkshire, UK. I have a passion for design and am an avid reader of blogs, tutorials etc. in order to keep my knowledge of design and coding practises and techniques up to date. I love jQuery so you will see a lot of nice effects in my themes.
